Some years ago, I wrote a book about my ten days in an eating disorder treatment center. It was never published, but now I feel like sharing some of it. I’m going to post random chapters to be enjoyed in little servings like this. –Juliana I have always wanted to donate blood but for many years I have either hovered right around or dipped below the required minimum blood-giving weight of 110 pounds. And now, at my present weight, I am well below the cut-off point.
Thank you for being so candid about your experiences in the treatment center. You are very courageous for doing this, and you probably are helping others in the process.
Thank you Juliana, for sharing your experiences on here. You write so well, and being so open about what you have gone through is very helpful to others in similar situations. I have read your autobiography 'When I Grow Up', one of my favourite books. I go back to it regularly.

+1 Randy Atlas's comment. You've given thousands of us sustenance and life-sustaining energy in forms other than blood.
Did anyone else receive a posting via email entitled 'Yuki’s Arrival'? It doesn't seem to have been uploaded to Juliana's Subtstack.
glad it wasn't lymphoma!
I feel the tension in this chapter as you describe the conversation you had with your doctor--very acutely focused details.

You should try to finish this book. You might be able to help others with this disorder. Maybe even try to find a way to make it a graphic novel
your writing is so wonderful like your music and voice. So many people care about you and your life. Thank you so much for sharing.
